07 January 2002.
AGE-NC Project No, 98-04.40
1
borings B8 arid B9.are below the State of California maximum contaminant levels (MCLs)
for drinking water. The vertical extent of impacted ground water has been defined.
The highest concentration of-dissolved hydrocarbons quantified as TPH-g and.BTEX
compounds extends northeast from USTs ns were:
No. 4 and 5. Dissolved' hydrocarb les from
encountered in the down-gradient direction from the former USTs in same
monitoring wells MW2 and MWS. Dissolved hydrocarbon concentrations remained
non-detectable in samples from wells MW 1,MW 3 and MW4,and concentrations decreased
to non-detectable levels in the water sample collected from-well MW6. A map showing the
approximate extent of dissolved TPH-g and benzene is presented in,Figure 5.
• The lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water has not been'defined'
toward the north and northeast beyond MW5. The hydrocarbon plume is fairly well defined
to the-'south, east, west and northwest.
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of this investigation,AGE recommends continued Quarterly monitoring of the
•' xt It event should be performed in June 2002•
ground water monitoring wells.
