During the January 1999 monitoring event, depths to ground-water from wells MW4 through MW-4
' and VW-1 ,were measured`between 27.81 and 28:69 feet below the tops of well casings. Ground
water elevation at the site increased'an'average 1.94 feet between the October 1998 and the January
1999•ground water monitoring-events. The ground water elevation data for MW-i through MW-4
during the Janu 1999 round water monitoring event is depicted in Figure_ _ as3' g g p gore 3.
Ground water monitoring data collectedin the area.of wells MW-1 through.MW-4 indicated that' the-
ground
"round water flow direction coon was generally toward the northwest at a gradient of.Q.01 ft/ft, or
approximately 58 feet'per mile (Figure 3).
3.2. LABORATORY,RE9ULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
A total of four ground water samples-were submitted to a DHS-certified laboratory in January 1999.
TPH-g was detected in a water sample collected from well MW-21 at a concentration of 2,700
' micrograms per liter (,ug/I); however the laboratory•reported .unmodified or weakly modified
gasoline in this sample was significant. TPH-d was detected in ground water samples collected from
MW- and•MW-2 at concentrations ashigh as 1,500'g/l; however the laboratory reported that the
diesel chromatograms for the samples did not have typical diesel characteristics.
BTEX compounds were detected in ground water samples collected from wells MW-2-and MW-3 '
at concentrations ranging as high as 340 ,u
g/l (benzene, MW-2).
MTBE was not detected above laboratory reporting limits:for any of the analyzed, samples utilizing
EPA Methods 8020 and 8260. No other fuel oxygenated additives were detected above laboratory
reporting limits from the analyzed samples.
Analytical results of the ground water samples are summarized in Table 2. The laboratory reports
(McCampbell Analytical Inc. Lab I.D. 02301 through 02304) and chain-of-custody forms are
r presented iri Appendix B: _
4.0.• DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS.
Based upon data, collected during the January 1999 monitoring event, AGE concludes:
• Ground water monitoring-data collectedin the area of wells MW-1'through MW-4 indicated
that the ground water flow direction was generally toward the northwest at a gradient of 0.01
! ft/ft, or approximately 58 feet per mile. Due to,the low gradient at the site, slight variations
in ground water, measurements'or, changes of recharge/discharge of the local ground water
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc.
