PROCEDURES y <br /> On26 March 2005,twelve rrionitoring wells(MW-1 through MW-12)arid two domestic water wells <br /> (DW5157 and DW5055) were purged and sampled. WELL MONITORING AND PURGING <br /> On-26 March 2005;monitoring wells MW-1 through MW42 and domestic water wells DW5157 ; <br /> - -and DW5055 were purged and sampled A Solinst-water level meter was used to measure the depth <br /> to groundwater to the nearest 0.01=foot in the twelve monitoring well relative to the tops of the well <br /> casings. The ground water elevations and gradient were determined from these.data{TableWSW <br /> After recording water level,measurements, new disposable_plastic bailers were:used to purge each.' <br /> monitoring well of standing water.Between 4 and 7.5,gallons ofwater(a mitumum of 3 casing-water <br /> volumes per well)were removed from each well.-Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity <br /> r}' were measured,at'regular intervals during purging using an Oakion water analyzer.. To purge <br /> DW5157 and DW5055, a hose:bib was opened on the water storage tank. The pump-was allowed... <br /> to cycle on and off for approximately 15 minutes,--,Field'sheets and data are included in Appendix C. <br /> Purged water was stored on-site in labeled,55-gallon'Department of Transportation-(DOT)-approved " <br /> drums.
