QUARRY <br /> INVESTIGATION REPORT #2 <br /> SURFACE STAINS &SPILLS <br /> PAGE 4 <br /> Samples will be collected in clean glass jars with Teflon-seal lids or in clean brass tubes, <br /> capped, sealed with Teflon tape, wrapped with duct tape; labeled; and immediately placed in a <br /> cooler chilled with "blue ice", for immediate delivery under Chain-of-Custody procedure to <br /> GeoAnalytical Laboratories in Modesto, California. <br /> — 4.0 LABORATORY ANALYSIS <br /> As described in the Work Plan, potentially contaminated soils in surface stained areas will be <br /> — analyzed for total extractable hydrocarbons, quantified as diesel, kerosene and motor oil (TEPH) <br /> by Method 3550/LUFT. <br /> 5.0 FOLLOW-UP REPORT <br /> Following completion of excavation and receipt of the laboratory results, a letter report will be <br /> prepared for submission on behalf of El Rancho Rock and Sand, Inc. to the San Joaquin County <br /> Department of Environmental Health. The report will include: <br /> • A chronology of the investigation activities conducted at the site. <br /> • A compilation of field screening data and an estimate of the apparent contamination <br /> dimensions and volume. <br /> • A scaled map of the site showing the locations of sampling sites, excavations, containers <br /> and stockpiles. <br /> — • Available photographs of the materials investigated. <br /> • A presentation and interpretation of the analytical data. <br /> • Recommendations regarding options for treatment and/or disposal of the stockpiled <br /> materials. <br /> El Rancho Rock & Sand, Inc, will comply with all requirements of County, State and Federal <br /> — law in the ultimate disposition of all contaminated materials identified.
