i
Based-upon these results it is evident that the residual Yamount of soil affected by
fuel hydrocarbons is of a minor nature. The low concentrations of VOC's in the
shallow ground water ,which entered the excavation, would indicate that shallow
j ground water has not been extensively impacted by the soil conditions at this site.
Due to the impermeable nature of the local soils (clayey) and the presence of
numerous septic tanks in this area the impact upon shallow ground water quality
should be considered minimal.
. Mr. Caldron therefore requests that final site closure be issued and that further
investigation or mitigation is not necessary to document subsurface Conditions.
Sincerely:
Fre erick G.
