On 29 May 2003, <br /> the Regional Board issued a Notice of Applicability (NOA) of General Cleanup of Petroleum Pollution, <br /> Order No. R5-2003-0044, NOA No. R5-2003-004410, for the project. <br /> ChevronTexaco notified Regional Board staff in a 24 July 2003 memorandum, that effective 18 July <br /> 2003, the discharge of treated groundwater associated with the pipeline installation project was <br /> terminated and all dewatering wells had been properly abandoned. Petroleum-impacted soil excavated <br /> during the project and sludge and related solids collected during the groundwater treatment was <br /> transported to Forward Landfill and the stormwater pipeline project has been completed. . <br /> In accordance with Order No. R5-2003-0044 Section E, Provisions, item 9, the cleanup activities <br /> covered by the requirements have been completed, and NOA No. R5-2003-004410 is hereby withdrawn. <br /> The Discharger(s) is no longer subject to the Order and no longer responsible for payment of annual <br /> fees. <br /> In addition, Regional Board staff concurs with ChevronTexaco's request that the quarterly report due <br /> date be extended approximately three weeks to allow for preparation of a overall project summary report <br /> to include the groundwater analytical data.
