Sunboro Developm nt Corporation
1307 S. Mary Ave. #208 e Sunnyvale, CA 94087 • (408) 733-1040
G -
June 7, 1988
Mr. Mike McCluskey
City of Tracy
325 E. Tenth Street
Tracy, CA 95376
Re: Contamination Investigation & Tentative Map Processing
Dear Mike:
w Yesterday we had a meeting at your office with Mr. Alec Cheney, together
with Mr. Moldenhauer and his associate from Terrestrial Technology. The
purpose of the meeting was to present Terrestrial Technology's proposal
of investigation in establishing a clean line separating Parcel A from. possible
contaminated area in Parcel B. Terrestrial Technology proposes to drill
a series of eight holes, at a distance of 125 feet from the northern
proerty line of Parcel B. The holes are to be drilled to a depth of
25 feet and soil samples taken will be tested by certified laboratory.
If no contamination were found, it would determine a clean line separating
Parcel -A with possible contamination of Parcel B along the edge of Byron
Road. If contamination were found, additional holes will be drilled
further away from Byron Road until no contamination is detected. Enclosed
is a map showing the location of the proposed exploratory holes.
It is our understanding from our previous conversation with you and Mr.
Mike Locke that if Parcel A is not contaminated, we would be allowed to
process tentative map for and develop Parcel A. Mr. Cheney indicated
also that he had no objections to this position, and that Terrestrial
Technology' s plan was acceptable.
If this proposal meets with Planning, Engineering and Public Works'
approval , we will proceed contracting Terrestrial Technology to perform
the testing.
If you have any questions, please call mea (406)733--1040.
Very truly yours,
Sunboro Development Corporation
David S. Ng
t President
Encl .
cc.
