The well head will be reconstructed and the <br /> well sampled today,May 3, 1996. <br /> • Groundwater samples will be analyzed for Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons <br /> (TEPH) against a crude oil standard (Cg-C38carbon range), TEPH against a diesel standard <br /> (CIO-C20carbon range) and Total Purgable Petroleum Hydrocarbons against a gasoline <br /> - 'using- Method 8015.modified. for polyaromatic hydrocarbons - __ <br /> using'Method 83 10, and for benzene, toluene, ethyl nzene, and total xylenes using Method <br /> 8020. <br /> Another round of sampling will be conducted during the week of June 2, 1996, <br /> approximately 30 days from the sampling of well M`W-2. The data from both rounds of <br /> groundwater sampling will be submitted to,your offi-e along with gradient information by the <br /> week of June 30, 1996. <br /> If significant amounts of petroleum hydrocarbon.constituents are not present in groundwater.. <br /> CPL will request that no further action be required and a.closure letter be issued, as'We discussed <br /> yesterday. In addition to obtaining regulatory closure for the site, CPL will develop a soil , . <br /> management plan for transmittal to the City of Tracy, the property developer, and your office. <br /> The management plan will outline soil handling procedures and responsibilities should <br /> petroleum-affected soil be encountered during prope rty evelopment (e.g. installation of utilities) <br /> or <br /> future property use (e.g. installation of a swimming pool). The regulatory closure and the <br /> (non-regulatory) soil management plan will allow the property to be developed in a timely <br />
