If skin irritation becomes evident (redness, swelling, rash), seek medical attention. <br /> For petroleum contact with the eye: Immediately flush eye with water from the eye wash bottle, lifting the <br /> eye lid several times during flushing. Seek medical attention immediately. <br /> Equipment and Supplies <br /> The SHSO or FM will ensure that equipment and supplies are available to control and remove potential spills <br /> of chemicals or contaminants. The required equipment and supplies will vary by project, type and quantity of <br /> contaminants/chemicals, and may include sorbent pads, granular sorbent, sorbent boom, open-top drums, <br /> shovels, etc. Health and safety supplies will be inspected monthly by the SHSO or the FM and documented <br /> in the field logbook. Examples include fire extinguisher(s), first aid kit, and eyewash to be inspected monthly. <br /> Contact your local Safety Officer for an inspection schedule. At sites that are not under active control by Chevron <br /> (e.g. former refineries, former terminal/service stations, ALL active Chevron service stations, former plants & <br /> facilities, etc.), the contractor will be the permit authority using their own "permit to work" process and <br /> standards.
