The meeting was attended by <br /> representatives from the CPL and Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMEP)• At the close <br /> of the meeting, CPI_ agreed to several action items intended to help identify a party <br /> responsible for soil and groundwater contamination found in boring MH4-6. CPL agreed <br /> to (1) research and report on the period of use and the contents that were transmitted in <br /> Tidewater Associated Oil Company's (TAOC) <br /> Petroleum <br /> area, and (2) provide the chromatograms of EPA laboratory alnas icaltmeth ds 260 <br /> this <br /> and 8015M for soil and groundwater samples obtained from all the borings at the <br /> Mountain House Development Site #4 (Site). <br /> In response to the first action item, Mr. Jeff Johnson sent an email on 10 June 2010 <br /> stating that TAOC pipelines were abandoned in 1974 and Texaco Downstream <br /> Properties Inc. (TDPI) is the successor of TAOC. He further stated that the Chevron <br /> Environmental Management Company (EMC) represents TDPI's interest in the <br /> historical pipeline portfolio, but Chevron has no ownership interest in the TAOC <br /> pipelines. <br /> The Analysis contained the requested chromatograms as well as excerpts from a 2005 <br /> laboratory report. Based on this existing data and a comparison of the chromatograms, <br /> Chevron concluded that the total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) in samples collected <br /> from MH4-6 were significantly different from those in samples collected from the other <br /> Site borings (MH4-1 through MH4-5 and M4-7). Borings MH4-1 through MH4-5 are <br /> located in the vicinity of the crude oil pipelines, so their dissimilarity to MH4-6 is <br /> consistent with expectations.
