Identify the hydrocarbon and compare with San Joaquin Valley crude. <br /> Results: <br /> The soil sample contains hydrocarbon in the jet fuel boiling range. It has a carbon range from <br /> about C 11 through C 15, and a median at approximately C 13. It is not a typical j et fuel for the <br /> presence of branched parraffins in abundance. See chromatogram.
