Science Applications International Corporation
(SAIC) prepared the report for Chevron.
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Central Valley Water Board) staff
reviewed previous hydrogeologic investigations completed at the Site between 2001 and 2008.
Central Valley Water Board staff concurred that soil and groundwater had been adequately
delineated and a health risk evaluation could be conducted.
The HHSE evaluated the risk of exposure to soil for future residents in accordance with a
residential land use scenario. According to the SAIC's HHSE findings, the results...indicate
that exposure to chemicals present in soil at the site should not result in unacceptable health
risks for an adult or child onsite resident. SAIC's report summarized that no remedial action
was needed and no further action was appropriate for the Site.
SAIC on behalf of Chevron, will submit the HHSE to Department of Toxic Substances Control
(DISC) Human Ecological Risk Division for review and comment. Following review of DTSC's
comments, Central Valley Water Board staff will consider a no further action determination for
the Site.
California Environmental Protection Agency
0 Recycled Paper
