The request letter was prepared on behalf of
Chevron by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
Previously, in a 23 October 2006 request letter to Chevron, Regional Water Board directed the
company to complete an investigation to address additional soil and groundwater delineation
needs at the site. According to the document, the work was to be completed and the
summary report submitted by 30 March 2007.
Currently, the site is primarily undeveloped agricultural land and gaining access to multiple
properties has been time consuming. Thus, until complete access can be obtained, Chevron
has asked for an extension to submit the summary report of findings for the additional
characterization work.
Regional Water Board staff concurs that the additional time is necessary to complete the
characterization and investigation.
By 15 October 2047 provide a report containing the results of the additional characterization.
Please notify Regional Water Board staff at least 48 hours prior to commencement of field
activities.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact Dean Hubbard at (559) 445-5179.
/)
- , , 4'Djc')
SHELTON R.
