R5-2003-004414, MOUNTAIN HOUSE <br /> CREEK BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AND STREAMBED ALTERATION PROJECT, SAN <br /> JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> On 7 rune 2004, a combined report of waste discharge and fee was submitted by Trimark Communities <br /> (Trimark) and ChevronTexaco regarding the discharge of treated groundwater from dewatering wells to <br /> land. The wells were installed as part of Trimark's Mountain House Bridge construction and Streambed <br /> Alteration project where Mountain House Stream crosses beneath Byron Road. On 22 July 2004, the <br /> Regional Board issued a Notice of Applicability(NOA) of General Cleanup of Petroleum Pollution, Order <br /> No. R5-2003-0044,NOA No. R5-2003-004414, for the project. <br /> ChevronTexaco notified Regional Board staff in an 18 March 2005 memorandum, that effective 28 <br /> February 2005, the discharge of treated groundwater associated with the bridge construction and streambed <br /> alteration project was terminated and all dewatering wells had been properly abandoned on I March 2005. <br /> Approximately 75 cubic yards of petroleum-impacted soil excavated during the project and sludge and <br /> related solids collected during the project was transported to Altamont Landfill near Livermore, CA for <br /> disposal. <br /> In accordance with Order No. R5-2003-0044 Section E, Provisions, item 9, the cleanup activities covered <br /> by the requirements have been completed, and NOA No. R5-2003-004414 is hereby withdrawn. <br /> Please submit the project summary report by 30 May 2005, including the final groundwater monitoring <br /> results through the effective shutdown date of 28 February 2005. <br /> If you have any questions or comments,please contact Dean Hubbard at(559) 445-5179. <br /> �\I <br /> SHELTON R.
