• Trimark - 3 - 22 July 2004 <br /> ChevronTexaco <br /> Mountain House Creek Project <br /> ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> 1. The project shall be constructed and operated in accordance with the requirements contained in <br /> the Order and in accordance with the information submitted in the RWD and attachment dated <br /> 7 June 2004, and supplemental information dated 2 July 2004. In accordance with the Order, the <br /> MRP will be implemented at the time the treatment systems are operational. <br /> 2. For this project, the sampling and analysis of influent and effluent wastewater for lead (total and <br /> organic), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), methanol, ethanol, tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), di- <br /> isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether(ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether(TAME), 1, <br /> 2-dichlo ro ethane (1, 2,-DCA), and 1, 2-dibromoethane (EDB) is waived unless otherwise directed <br /> by the Executive Officer. <br /> 3. Total petroleum hydrocarbon as diesel (TPH-d), as gasoline (TPH-g) benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene, anixylene (BTEX), naphthalene, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), <br /> specific conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), nitrite (NOA nitrate (NO3), and general <br /> minerals (boron, calcium, hardness [as CaC031, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium, sodium, <br /> chloride, sulfate, phosphate, alkalinity [as CaC031, and bicarbonate [as CaCO3]) shall be analyzed <br /> in the influent samples daily for the first three days of treatment and weekly for three consecutive <br /> weeks; subsequent sampling frequency shall follow the MRP sampling schedule thereafter. The <br /> PAHs will be analyzed by EPA Method 8310/8270 SIM, whichever provides the most complete <br /> list of PAH constituents having method detection limits (MDLs) equal to or less than that listed in <br /> Attachment A of the MRP. <br /> 4. Effluent samples from the treatment system shall be analyzed for the constituents listed in Item <br /> # 3 above and pH. In addition, flow rates (gallons per day and cumulative total gallons _ <br /> discharged) shall be recorded for the effluent. The flow rate information shall be tabulated for the <br /> effluent discharge point and reported with the analytical results. <br /> 5. Groundwater monitoring wells, MW-1 through MW-4, located in Field G shall be monitored and <br /> sampled as described in a 17 June 2004 letter from Regional Board staff to Trimark and <br /> ChevronTexaco. <br /> 6. An annual fee - $1,800 (as specified in the annual billing invoice issued by the State Water <br /> Resource Control Board) shall be required until this Notice of Applicability is officially revoked. <br /> 7. The discharge of wastes other than treated groundwater from the construction dewatering wells <br /> and cleanup of crude oil pollution, or discharge of other contaminants, is prohibited. <br /> Based on our review of the information provided, we have determined the project/process meets the <br /> required conditions of the Order. All requirements contained in the Order are applicable to the Mountain <br /> House Creek Bridge Construction and Streambed Alteration Project. You are hereby assigned General <br /> Order No. R5-2003-004414 to regulate the discharge of treated groundwater from Mountain House Creek <br /> Bridge Construction and Streambed Alteration Project Land Discharge Point described above and <br /> depicted on the attached Figures. <br />
