Results will be forwarded to the RWQCB for review and approval <br /> prior to discharge to Field G. <br /> To ensure that discharge from the treatment system is in compliance with the Order, SAIC <br /> proposes to sample the influent and effluent groundwater once a day for 3 consecutive days to <br /> ensure treated groundwater meets the required discharge limits. SAIC will forward the analytical <br /> results to the RWQCB for review and approval to continue discharging under the Order. Once <br /> the initial sampling period has passed and the RWQCB has given approval to continue to <br /> discharge, SAIC will sample the influent and effluent groundwater from the treatment system <br /> weekly for an additional 3 weeks. If groundwater samples collected are in compliance with the <br /> Order, SAIC will reduce the sampling frequency to monthly for the duration of the discharge. <br /> Compliance sampling of treated groundwater will serve to monitor the effectiveness of the <br /> treatment system. <br /> Four groundwater-monitoring wells were installed in Field G to monitor groundwater quality <br /> beneath Field G prior to and during the discharge period. Wells will be monitored and sampled <br /> monthly during the discharge period. SAIC will provide the RWQCB with monitoring results <br /> when they become available. <br /> This letter of notification is sent out to interested parties as required by General Order No. <br /> R5-2003-0044.
