The report will also be submitted to the <br /> Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) under the Voluntary Cleanup <br /> Program for DTSC approval of the health risk assessment. <br /> PROPOSED SCHEDULE <br /> In a memo dated October 19, 2001, Trimark presented their priority for addressing affected <br /> soil and groundwater. They divided the site into four segments and prioritized them based on <br /> their construction schedule (Figure 2). Geomatrix has developed a proposed investigation <br /> schedule that considers this prioritization (Figure 3). <br /> For purposes of developing this schedule, we have assumed that RWQCB will concur with <br /> using a self-directed approach and that two field investigation efforts will be necessary to <br /> collect sufficient data to fulfill the requirements of the CTA. We also have assumed that each <br /> field investigation will take approximately two months to complete. Each two-month period <br /> includes preparation of the work plan,permitting, coordination with subcontractors, conduct- <br /> ing field activities, and submittal of data in a brief report following receipt of analytical re- <br /> sults. The screening-level health risk assessment and final report will be completed within <br /> two months of completion of all investigation activities. <br /> Investigations at Sites 1 and 2 and at Sites 4 and 5 will be conducted concurrently due to their <br /> proximity to each other. Based on results of the investigations, additional work, such as <br /> groundwater monitoring, may be necessary at some sites. These potential additional activities <br /> have not been included in the schedule but will be performed in accordance with the CTA as <br /> necessary. <br /> We appreciate the opportunity to provide our consulting services to ChevronTexaco.
