Subsequently, during a 16 February
2006 meeting with Chevron and Science Applications International Corporation(SAIC) staff, this topic
was addressed it was decided that additional site characterization would not include this compound.
' The analysis for the constituents of concern in oil and groundwater at Chevron's Old Valley Pipeline
sites—total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd),TPH as gasoline, (TPHg),benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX),polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), should be completed as
' described in SAIC's 31 March 2005 workplan.
We concur with SAIC's 31 March 2005 workplan for the Mountain House Site #6 as originally
proposed. We understand that the access issues have been and/or will soon be resolved and that
implementation of the Workplan can be initiated. Please notify Regional Board staff 48 hours prior to
initiating field drilling activities.
' If you have any questions or comments, please contact Dean Hubbard at(559)445-5179.
1 'U" 46!o
r
' SHELTON R.
