Concentrations of these
compounds in the sample were below the associated PRGs or not listed. Most of the
concentrations of the detected VOCs which are not included in the table were orders of
' magnitude below the PRGs. Please see Appendix C for a copy of the laboratory analytical
results.
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJC/EHD) requested a workplan for the
purpose of excavating the remnant tank and potentially impacted soil, conducting confirmation
soil sampling, stockpile soil sampling, chemical analysis, and reporting.
' SCOPE OF WORK
' This workplan details the scope of work for the soil excavation observation, sampling and
analysis at the SJRTD Site "O" located at the southwest corner of N. California and E. Channel
' Streets in Stockton, California(Plate 1).
Task 1 - Workplan/Permitting and Pre-Field Activities
Kleinfelder will coordinate with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJC/EHD)
to obtain approval of the workplan (this document) prior to initiating the field work. Kleinfelder
will coordinate the scheduling between Kleinfelder, the excavation subcontractor and SJC/EHD
The excavation subcontractor will be responsible for marking the excavation area and notifying
Underground Service Alert (USA) at least 48 hour prior to excavation activities. Kleinfelder at
this time does not anticipate that permits will be necessary from SJC/EHD or the fire department.
If permitting is necessary through the fire department the excavation subcontractor will be
responsible for this permit. Kleinfelder will assist in obtaining permits through the county if
' necessary.
51276/ST05R272/FB:ly Page 3 of 8
Oc 2005,Kleinfelder, Inc. March 9,2005
