California law <br /> requires a person to inform the state if a situation is encountered that can be considered an <br /> immediate endangerment to the public's health or welfare and/or to the environment. Therefore, <br /> the client will be contractually bound to make any said disclosures in lieu of Kleinfelder, its <br /> owners, principals, employees or subcontractors. <br /> PROJECT SCHEDULE <br /> The proposed scope of work would be performed in accordance with the following approximate <br /> schedule. <br /> Approximate Task <br /> Timeline <br /> Week 0 Formal authorization provided by the client <br /> Week 1-2 Permitting for Limited Soil and Groundwater Assessment <br /> Week 2—4 Limited Soil and Groundwater Assessment Field Work <br /> Week 3-5 Limited Soil and Groundwater Assessment Chemical Analysis <br /> Week 5 -7 Limited Soil and Groundwater Assessment Report Preparation <br /> Week 7 Limited Soil and Groundwater Assessment Report submitted to the client <br /> ll <br /> Kleinfelder has no control over the time required by a regulatory agency to review and approve a work plan and <br /> permit applications or to supply information from their files for review. <br /> Z This work will be done by a subcontractor. Kleinfelder selects reputable subcontractors,but does not have full <br /> control over the time required by said companies. <br /> CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS <br /> This proposal and the attached cost estimate are based on the following assumptions and <br /> responsibilities: <br /> • SJRTD will assist Kleinfelder in obtaining access to the site and owner authorization for <br /> the proposed sampling. <br /> • Adequate work space and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to advance <br /> soil push probes and collect samples at the proposed locations. If the drilling equipment <br /> cannot be positioned or it refusal occurs, alternative drilling locations or sampling <br /> methods should be investigated. <br /> • Soil generated during the sampling will be placed in plastic bags and left onsite. The <br /> borings will be backfilled using grout or a bentonite-type slurry. <br /> • Soil and water generated during the drilling and sampling will be the responsibility of the <br /> client. Soil cuttings and decontamination rinsewater will be left on site. Sampling and <br /> analysis of the contained soil and water may be necessary prior to disposal.
