Left for the site at 11:52 a.m. and arrived at 12:09 p.m. Met
with the manager, Sandra Harbaugh. The release occurred in front of pump 8 at
8:30 a.m. 2-3 gallon of gasoline was release. The spill did not reach any drains
and was contained to the concrete area. It was cleaned using absorbent and
FN 186. The waste was put into the hazardous waste drum on site. I made sure
the drum was properly labeled and then left to another site at 12:24 p.m.
02/04/2019 Went with John Alaniz (RENS) to go inspect a emergency response call. PE 2546 GAITAN
42 min SC
The site was at a Safeway fuel station located on 2802 Country Club, Stockton.
The emergency response was about a release of approximately 5 gallons of 6
gasoline from a fuel tank from a truck. c
We arrived on-site and met with the manager, Tammy. She showed us where the F
gas release was located at, pump 8. There was no staining observed, the site was
cleaned properly. Tammy showed us the 55 gallon drum in which she put the
gasoline waste. The 55 gallon drum was labeled properly and closed. John took
photos of the spill area, the 55 gallon drum and the hazardous waste label on the
55 gallon drum. John explained to Tammy that he will do a notice to abate and that
he will email her environmental contact.
We left the site.
02/05/2019 Completed the photo log. PE 2546 ALANIZ
18 min SC 544
02/06/2019 Called Ron Lee environmental contact for Safeway fuel station at 2808 Country PE 2546 GAITAN
30 min Club Blvd. Stockton. John Alaniz (RENS) was next to me to listen in to the SC 544
conversation. I asked if he received my email and confirmed if his mailing address
on CERS was up to date.
Mr. Lee stated that his address was correct. John told me to let him know that he
would be receiving a bill. I let Ron know about the bill and he said if he gets a bill
that he would prefer to receive it via email, as opposed to mailing address. I
responded that I will check with accounting to see if that was possible.
02/07/2019 Put the complaint together, abated it and wrote a narrative for the complaint.
