Appendix B - Monitoring and Sampling Procedures
STALLWORTH AUTO SALES
AGE-NC Project No. 99-0682
Health-certified analytical laboratory, for analysis. Samples are analyzed for:
• Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) and diesel (TPH-d)
in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified; and
• Benzene, toluene, ethyl-benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), and fuel additives
methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl
ether (ETBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), tertiary butanol (TBA), ethylene
dibromide (EDB), and 1 ,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) in accordance with EPA
Method 82608.
SAMPLING SCHEDULE
The modified sampling schedule, as directed by the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department (EHD) letter dated 01 July 2009, is as follows:
• Semi-annual sampling during the first and third quarters of a given year: monitoring
wells MW-1A/C, MW-6, MW-7, MW-8, MW-9, MW-10 and MW-11;
• Annual sampling during the third quarter of a given year: wells MW-1D, MW-2,
MW-3, MWA and MW-5 are sampled annually during the third quarter of a given
year; and
• Well MW-1 B is not sampled due to close proximity of MW-1A and the overlapping
screen intervals of the wells.
EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
Any non-disposable equipment used for sample collection is thoroughly rinsed with clean
water after being washed with a solution of Alconox. Purge water generated during
sampling activities was contained on-site in an appropriately labeled 55-gallon drum.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
