it <br />'I San Joaquin Valley <br /> I AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT <br /> December 22 , 2008 <br /> To : Addresses within 1 , 000 feet of 602 North California Street <br /> Re : Public Notification Requirement, California Health and Safety Code (§ 42301 . 6) <br /> Project Number: N-1083169 <br /> Project Description : Soil remediation project served by a thermal/catalytic <br /> oxidizer <br /> To Whom It May Concern : <br /> The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (Air District) intends to issue an <br /> Authority to Construct permit to Advanced GeoEnvironmental for a soil remediation <br /> project served by a thermal/catalytic oxidizer at 602 North California Street in Stockton , <br /> CA . <br /> Section §42301 . 6 of the California Health & Safety Code states that if a new or <br /> modified source , which emits hazardous air emissions , is located within 1 , 000 feet of <br /> the outer boundary of any Kindergarten through Grade 12 school site , the Air District <br /> must prepare and distribute a public notice . The notice must be distributed to each <br /> student enrolled in any Kindergarten through Grade 12 school within a one -quarter mile <br /> radius of the proposed source and to each address within a radius of 1 , 000 feet of the <br /> proposed source . <br /> The equipment to be operated at this location consists of the following : <br /> SOIL REMEDIATION PROJECT SERVED BYA 1 . 0 MMBTU/HR MAKO MODEL <br /> #MAKOTCAT250 NATURAL GAS-FIRED THERMAL/CATALYTIC OXIDIZER. <br /> The Air District has determined that, as proposed , the installation will comply with all Air <br /> District regulations . The Air District's analysis of the proposal has determined that the <br /> emissions from operation of this equipment will not pose a significant health risk to the <br /> school children or to the surrounding public . <br /> In addition , the Health and Safety Code requires that the Air District receive and address <br /> any public comments .
