Angelica Sandoval Marin [EH]
From: Brian Millman <bmillman@advgeoenv.com>
Sent: Wednesday, April 23, 2014 3:57 PM
To: Nuel Henderson [EH]
Cc: Angelica Sandoval Marin [EH]
Subject: Stallworth Auto - 602 North California Street, Stockton, CA
Mr. Henderson,
Thank you for discussing the Stallworth Auto Sales site with me today. As we discussed on the phone today,
shallow soil data from the source area on-site is needed to evaluate specific criteria in the Low Threat Closure
Policy (LTCP). In the AGE-prepared, Corrective Action Plan (CAP) dated 30 January 2014; AGE proposes to
collect soil samples from selected borings at selected depths during the installation of injection wells. In order
to evaluate the site using the LTCP, AGE proposes to collect soil samples from two pilot borings in the area of
the former USTs at depth of 5 feet and 10 feet bsg. Soil samples will be analyzed for the constituents proposed
in the CAP.
Furthermore, we discussed the Additional Site Assessment Work Plan dated 07 March 2014. As we discussed,
AGE will collect soil samples from eac"roposed soil borigq at depths between 50 feet and 70 feet bsg to
confirm that groundwater samples are collected in the coarse-grained lithologic unit and not the fine-g'raine3 urSoil samples will be collected using a 1.45-inch diameter Geo robe soil sampling assemblyloaded with a
two-foot long acetate sleeve. Soil sample up Ica es will be extruded into plas is bags and field-screened for
the presence of organic vapors using an organic vapor meter (OVM), equipped with a photo-ionization detector
(PID) and the soil was visually classified in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS).
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments.
Thanks,
Brian W.
