I
Site Background Information : Stallworth Auto Sales
Page 10 of 11
Hydrogeoloqic Unit 9 (HU9) - extends from 190 feet to 195 feet bsg ; the unit is a silty sand
to sandy silt layer characterized by low and some moderate pore pressures .
Hydrogeoloqic Unit 10 (HU10 ) - extends from 195 feet to 200 feet bsg ; HU10 is
predominately silt and clay; the unit is characterized by moderate and some low pore
pressures .
SENSITIVE RECEPTOR SURVEY
A sensitive receptor survey was conducted for the site . The area encompassed by the
2000-foot search radius and the water wells located during the search are depicted on
Figure 3 in the AGE-prepared Sensitive Receptor Survey, dated 12 January 2001 .
Drinking water at and near the site is supplied by the City of Stockton municipal well
system . The municipal wells in the site area are maintained bythe California Water Service
Company (CWSC) . CWSC station numbers (wells ) 42-01 and 53-01 are both located
within 2 ,000 feet of the subject site . Water well 42-01 was located on East Poplar Street
between San Joaquin Street and Hunter Street, approximately 1 ,500 feet northwest of
Stallworth Auto Sales . Water well 42-01 was completed to a total depth of 450 feet below
surface grade (bsg) . AGE was unable to discover screen interval for water well 42-01 .
According to Eric Maar of CWSC , well 42-01 was abandoned in the 1970's . Well 53-01 is
located on North Aurora Street between Lindsay Street and Fremont Street, approximately
1 , 500 feet east of the subject property. Water well 53-01 is completed to a total depth of
564 feet bsg with a 278-foot screen interval from 252 feet bsg to 530 feet bsg .
On 01 December 2000 , a representative of AGE performed an area reconnaissance for
visually observable potential receptors within a 2 ,000-foot radius of the site. No additional
municipal , irrigation , agricultural , federal or county water wells were located during the
visual search . However, 21 ground water monitoring wells were observed at 4 different
locations .
On 16 November 2000 , a representative of AGE conducted a search at the California
Department of Water Resources of well drillers reports for water wells located in the
surrounding area . Drillers reports for water wells located within a 2000-foot radius were
found for CWSC water wells 42-01 and 53-01 .
No additional wells were located within 2 ,000 feet of the subject property on the
Department of Water Resources (DWR) database or the San Joaquin County Flood
Control and Water Conservation District (SJCFC&WCD) map . No other wells were
identified during the physical survey.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
