Records Center UST Closure In-Place and Sail Sampling Report
April 20,2012
Page-5-
10.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Laboratory analytical results of soil samples collected from below the UST at depths of approximately
two feet and four feet below the bottom of the tank indicate that the soil in the immediate vicinity of the
former UST location has not been i pacted by petroleum hydrocarbons. Laboratory analytical results of
soil samples collected from below i rie UST indicated that detected concentrations of lead and PCB-1254
were above the California Human lealth Screening Levels CHHSLs for residential use and below the
CHHSLs for Commercial use. Con entrations of the other metals and PCB cogeners, and for the same
analytes in other samples either di I not exceed the CHSSLs or laboratory reported detection limits. A
pattern of distribution related to the lead and PCB-1254 concentrations could not be determined from the
laboratory data which indicates th t those concentrations that exceed the CHSSLs were outlier data.
Condor does not recommend additional investigation or analysis to evaluate the detected metals or PCB-
1254. Condor recommends that the UST that was closed in place be considered for site closure.
The gasoline-impacted soil previously investigated in deeper soil on the site does not appear to have
originated from the UST closed in-place, and likely originates from off-site.
11.0 LIMITATIONS
Condor developed the interpretati ns and conclusions presented herein in accordance with generally
accepted principles and practice.
