Closure Summary Report <br /> . EMIL'S LIQUORS <br />' 1405 California Street, Escalon, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr. Robert Lease,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has <br />' prepared this Closure Summary Report for the Emil's Liquors property (site) located at <br /> 1405 California Street,Escalon,California(Figure 1). The closure summary report was prepared as <br /> required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD), by letter dated <br />' 12 September 2005. In addition, the results and findings of a site related sensitive receptor survey <br /> are presented Appendix A. <br /> The assessment of the site has been performed in accordance with guidelines of the SJCEHD and <br /> the Regional Water Quality Control Board's Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for <br /> Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tank Sites guidelines forthe investigation <br />' of underground storage tank(UST) sites. <br /> t2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at the southeast comer of the intersection of Main Street (Highway 120) and <br /> California Street (Figure 2). The parcel is identified by the San Joaquin County Assessor as parcel <br /> number 227-070-31. <br /> 2.1, SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is occupied by Emil's Liquors (aka., Emil's Sport and Bait Shop or Emil's Liquor Sport <br /> Shop)service station and mini-mart.The Emil's Liquors' service station stores and distributes diesel <br /> and unleaded gasoline for retail sale.The mini-mart building is located on the east portion of the site; <br /> the fuel dispenser island is located on the northern portion of the site; and the UST is located on the <br /> west corner of the site. Currently, the service station operates one 20,000-gallon UST; the tank is <br />' partitioned into three compartments for storage of diesel and unleaded gasoline. <br /> The current UST and fuel dispensers were installed in 1997 as a replacement(upgrade) of a former <br /> UST complex,which consisted of two 6,000-gallon unleaded gasoline USTs,one 2,000-gallon diesel <br /> fuel UST,one approximately 85-gallon waste oil tank,and one fuel dispenser island(Figure 2). The <br />' former diesel fuel and gasoline USTs were located in the west corner of the site, and the former <br /> waste oil UST and fuel dispenser island were located approximately 25 to 30 feet east of the fuel <br /> UST complex (Figure 2); the current fuel dispenser island and UST are located at the approximate <br /> same locations as the former dispenser island and UST complex. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.. <br /> 1 <br />
