California Street June 23, 2008
Stockton, CA 95205
The installation of two ground water extraction (GWE) wells may be an effective
remedial alternative but without a cost-effectiveness and feasibility evaluation comparing
at least two remedial alternatives [CCR, Title 23, Chapter 16, 2725(f)(2)], the EHD
cannot approve the recommendation.
Please submit a feasibility study that includes a cost-effectiveness evaluation for at least
two remedial alternatives that could restore the ground water to pre-release conditions.
If it can be shown that GWE is the most cost-effective and feasible alternative at
controlling the offsite migration of DCA, the EHD can approve a work plan to test the
action.
.The EHD approved skipping the second quartersampling/reporting event in electronic
mail with Mr. Vlach.
