Vogue Clem ers 2315 N California Street Stockton, CA Site code:231032 Dear Mr. Inferna, Please find below the proposed Work Plan for forth investigation of the Vogue Cleaners Site. WORK PLAN FOR PHASE 2 SITE INVESTIGATION as modified by request of P S/EHD SITE HISTORY The site has a long history of use as a cleaning establ shment and presently continues to have the same use. On June 6, 1996, Thorpe Oil removed two empty underground storage tanks from the property under a permit from the PHS/EHD. Soil sam ples from the tank excavation were obtained using standard methods and locations.The sample fic m under Tank#I was taken at a depth of+/- eight feet. The sample from Tank#2 was taken at a d pth of+/-nine feet. Both these samples and samples from the excavation spoil showed evidence of hydrocarbon contamination (See map enclosed).All ofthe above samples were analyzed by Analytical Laboratories,Inc.The location of Tank#I is between two structures and is 25'from die closest access point by drilling equipment. Tank#2 can be accessed by vertical drilling equipment. RESULTS OF BH1 SOIL ANALYSIS The slant borehole of BHl was made a angle of 50 degrees and intersected the plane under the excavation of the solvent tank at a depth of+/-35 €ee . The maximum concentration of TPH for BHI was 6870 mg/Kg at this point. Contamination of all samples continued to the last sample taken at a vertical depth of+/-57 feet. At the time of r sampling in MW I,the water table was 48.6 feet below the surface. RESULTS OF SOIL AND WATER ANALYSIS FROM MWI Soil samples'to a depth of 30 feet were contaminated. All soil samples below 30 feet were non- detect, for all compounds. The water sample yielded a TPH of 130 ug/L. PROPOSED ADDITIONAL SITE MVESTIGAION About 213 of the site area is covered with buildings. a area directly to the east of the solvent tank is the main portion of the building used by Vogue Cl ers.The building fronts directly on the west side of the sidewalk, without room for drilling equi went. The driveway on the north side of the building is the only area accessible to drill equipment (MW #2 Proposed). This driveway lies 1
