WELL ' IN THE AREA OUTSIDE 2000' RADIUS 0 USE
4
#5 California Water Service NIA Large Domestic Water Well
. @ N W Corner of Bonnie
Av & Ellis St 2500' West of the Site
and Up Gradient, Depth = 542'
CONCLUSIONS FROM THIS RECEPTOR SURVEY
In interviews with the various owners of the wells within the 2000'radius it was determined that all of the
active wells in use are only use for irrigation purposes The Stockton Rural Cemetery reported that they
have hose bibs connected to that irrigation system, but that all the domestic use is on a separate potable
water system from California Water Service
The active domestic well owned by California Water Service is in use on this date and there are no plans
to remove that well from service The well is outside the 2000'radius at about 2500'west of the site. This
location is up gradient from the site and the casing is perforated at 196'to 528' of depth. The spill from
this site would not present a danger to this domestic well
The site owner, Mrs Helen Higgins, recalled that the well on the site was used by the business for rug
cleaning in the past Foothill Engineering inspected the well and found the pump to be disconnected from
a power source
None of the operating receptors found during this survey are at risk from this spill
RECOMMENDATIONS
The 4"well on the site is not in use and should be abandon as prescribed by standards ofthe industry This
well presents a health hazard to the public and that hazard should be removed
DISCLAIMER
In conducting this receptor survey the author reviewed all public records on file with the SJCPH and the
DWR that concerned any well work within the 2000'radius of the site that required a permit or a Water
Well Drillers Report.A ground survey of all the properties within the 2000'radius was not conducted to
determine if any wells were constructed without a permit. This survey relied on public records and
personal interviews as described above
Any questions on the receptor survey should be directed to Ervin Rifenburg at Foothill Engineering(209)
368-9381
Respectfully submitted, woQ4,FF8,J)
Foa gi en
NO 107
Ervin Rifen urg,
Attachments Area map, Site map w/groundwater gradient
2
