The SJCEHD letter-- <br /> requested a work plan to better define the hydrogeology of the site and to delineate the vertical extent of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon impacts in the underground storage tank (UST) area. This work plan also <br /> addresses the scope .and details of remediation well installation activities proposed by URS in the <br /> Interim Remediation Work Plan, dated January 7, 2004. The following 'pages present the ,site ._ <br /> background and the proposed scope of work. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located on the corner of North California Street and Alpine Street in Stockton, California, as <br /> shown on Figures 1 and 2. The locations of the existing UST cavity,'dispenser islands,and other select <br /> site features are shown on Figure 2. The site currently operates as a gasoline service station and mini- <br /> mart.
