The EHD had recommended that the conductor casing for MW-1 D be set at seventy feet below surface
grade (bsg) instead of the proposed depth by Stantec Consulting Corporation (Stantec)of sixty-five feet bsg. The
EHD concluded that Stantec is correct. The conductor casing should be set at the potential aquitard at
approximately sixty-five feet bsg. This email documents concurrence by the EHD to set the conductor casing for
MW-1 D at the proposed sixty-five feet bsg. The site geologist or engineer should verify that the bottom of the
conductor casing has been set within the fine-grained unit.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton, California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vrnccartney fr,sjcehd.com
1/15/2009
I
' i
