MW-1R, MW-ID, and MW-3R had not been developed
when first sampled on June 10, 2009. For this reason, the EHD believes the wells
should be sampled for two additional quarters to assure that the groundwater data
reported for the newly installed wells are reliable.
In summation, the EHD approves the following sampling schedule:
• Quarterly sample MW-1R, MW-1D, and MW-3R during the third and fourth
quarters 2009 and analyze the samples for gasoline-range organics, benzene,
toluene, ethyl benzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), methyl tertiary-butyl ether
(MTBE), tertiary-butyl alcohol (TBA), and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA).
• Semi-annually sample MW-4, VW-1A and B, VW-2A and B, and VW-3A and B,
and analyze the samples for gasoline-range organics, BTEX, MTBE, TBA, and
1,2-DCA.
• Annually sample MW-2, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7, MW-8, and VW-4 and analyze
the samples for gasoline-range organics, only.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209)
468-9852, or by e-mail at vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
