California Street,Stockton <br /> Permit Number N-5083-1-0 <br /> Dear Ms de Groot <br /> URS Corporation Americas (URS), on behalf of Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO— a <br /> BP-affiliated company), is pleased to present results the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution <br /> Control District (SJVAPCD) with the startup analytical results for the soil vapor <br /> extraction (SVE) remediation system at ARCO Service Station No 2186, Iocated at 3212 <br /> North California Street, in Stockton, California <br /> Startup Analytical Results and Flow Rates <br /> The SVE system, which treats petroleum-impacted soil vapor, was started on August 30, <br /> 2004 Startup sampling was conducted the same day Influent (02186AINF-083004), <br /> midpoint (02186AMID-083004) and effluent (02186AEFF-083004) air samples were <br /> collected and submitted to STL San Francisco in Pleasanton, California, for the analysis <br /> of gasoline range organics (GRO), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes <br /> (BTEX), and methyl tert-butyl ether(MtBE) The midpoint and effluent samples did not <br /> contain any reportable concentrations of GRO, BTEX or MtBE The flow rate was <br /> recorded as 95 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) The laboratory analytical and field <br /> data are summarized in the attached table The complete laboratory report is also <br /> attached <br /> The system was shutdown on September 7, 2004 due to noise issues, as indicated in our <br /> letter to SJVAPCD, dated September 13, 2004 URS will notify SJVAPCD when the <br /> necessary corrective actions are completed and the system is restarted <br /> URS Corporation <br /> 2520 Venture Oaks Way Suite 250 <br /> Sacramento CA 95833 3200 <br /> Tel 916 679 2000 <br /> Fax 916 929 7263 <br />
