DISCUSSION:
Groundwater samples were analyzed for TPHG, BTEX, and oxygenates. Results of this monitoring event
indicated that dissolved gasoline hydrocarbons were generally consistent with previous monitoring events.
TPHG decreased to 64.1 pg/L, and benzene was below method detection limits in well MW-4, TPHG also
decreased to 80.4 dug/l_ in well VW-3, and benzene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes were below method
reporting limits. The groundwater gradient and direction of groundwater flow (east) were generally
consistent with the previous sampling events. Groundwater elevation increased 0.05 feet in wells MW-1,
MW-2, MW-4, and VW-3, and decreased 0.02 feet in well MW-3 from the previous sampling event
--' - (September 1999). - - - -
Groundwater samples were analyzed for oxygenates tertiary butanol,MTBE, di-isopropyl ether, ethyl tertiary
butyl ether, and tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME) using USEPA Method 8260. MTBE was detected in
wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3; MW-4, and VW-3 at concentrations of 984 tg/L, 6.66 µg/L, 2.64 [ug/L, 760 tg/L,
and 262 ttg/L, respectively. TAME was detected in wells MW-1, MW-4, and VW-3 at concentrations of 8.92
ttg/L,.6.56 µg/L, and 2.08 µg/L, respectively. All other oxygenates were below laboratory detection limits for
all wells.
ATTACHMENTS:
Table 1- Groundwater Monitoring Data
• Table 2 Groundwater Analytical Results for Oxygenates
• .
