�s <br /> - srpi ^ <br /> NVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS <br /> March 2, 1999 <br /> Project 20805-147 007 <br /> Ms Carol Oz <br /> San Joaquin Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 388 <br /> Stockton, California 95201-0388 <br /> Re Addendum to Soil Overexcavation and Soil Sampling Workplan Associated with <br /> Product Delivery Line and Dispenser Replacement, ARCO Service Station 2186, <br /> 3212 North California Street, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms Oz <br /> On behalf of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), Pinnacle Environmental Solutions, a <br /> division of EMCON (Pinnacle) has prepared this addendum to the February 19, 1999 <br /> Overexcavation and Soil Sampling Workplan for the above referenced site Additional <br /> information requested dunng our February 23, 1999 telephone conversation regarding the <br /> overexcavation activities is presented below <br /> • The anticipated length of areas to be overexcavated will be approximately 5 to 6 <br /> feet The actual length along the piping trenches may vary based upon observed <br /> impacts and results of field screening <br /> • The anticipated volume of material to be removed from beneath the piping <br /> trenches is 50 cubic yards This volume is typical for recent piping and dispenser <br /> replacement activities at other ARCO facilities <br /> • The excavated soil will be characterized for disposal and the analytical results <br /> will be evaluated to determine the appropriate, ARCO-approved, disposal <br /> facility In the event that total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) are <br /> less than 100 parts per million (ppm), the disposal facility may be either <br /> Redwood Landfill or BFI Vasco Road Landfill In the event that TPHG <br /> concentrations exceed 100 ppm the soil will be transported to TPS located in <br /> Richmond, CA Dillard Trucking, the ARCO transportation contractor, will <br /> submit profiling and disposal applications to the appropriate facility and <br /> transport the soil for disposal <br /> . • A site plan showing the piping layout is attached <br /> CP\E 1ARC0121861REPORTS\2186P102 DOC 98\1sg 1 <br /> 20805 147 007 <br /> 3939 Cambridge Road Suite 220 Cameron Park California 95682 (530)676-6884 (530)676 6885 Fax <br />
