Mike Infurna <br /> From Thomas Parker [tparker@secor com] <br /> 0ent Friday, June 14, 2002 12 44 PM <br /> o minfurna@sjcehd com <br /> Cc rbenkosky@secor com, Ed Ralston <br /> Subject Tosco 1205, Lathrop <br /> -n; <br /> 5206079 Tosco <br /> 1205 Lathrop 1st <br /> Dear Mr Infurna, <br /> Attached are the analytical results from the first round of Geoprobe borings <br /> for Tosco 1205, located at 16470 Cambridge Street in Lathrop <br /> The results for TPHg, benzene and MtBE are as follows <br /> Soil- All soil samples collected at: 10 feet were analyzed and reported as <br /> below laboratory detection limits <br /> Groundwater- <br /> GP-1, TPHg = 17, 000 ppb, Benzene = 44ppb, MtBE = <10 ppb <br /> GP-2, 16, 000, 170, <25 <br /> GP-3, 4, 100, X10, <10 <br /> GP-4, <50, <0 50, <0 50 <br /> GP-5, X50, <0 50, <0 50 <br /> .We will step-out from GP-] to the SE corner of Mingo Way and Cambridge <br /> 3treet From GP-2 to the SW corner of Mingo Way and Cambridge Street <br /> Based on the location of GP-3 (I had to move the original boring <br /> approximately 55 ' from the intersection due to driveways and underground <br /> utilities) and the concentration of TPHg, I do not believe the original <br /> step-out boring will delinzeate the hydrocarbons (the original step-out was <br /> placed approximately 60 feet from GP-3) Since I noticed a hydrocarbon odor <br /> from the water sample, I marked another step-out boring location an <br /> additional 75 feet from the original step-out boring I would prefer to <br /> drill the further step-out boring (located approximately 135 ' from GP-3) in <br /> order to get delineation on Libby Lane <br /> If I notice hydrocarbon odors from the groundwater from the step-out borings <br /> of GP-1 and GP-2, I would like to step-out an additional 100 feet from from <br /> each boring (on Cambridge Street and Mingo Way, respectively) and do those <br /> Geoprobes the same day <br /> I will call Fisch Enviromental to see the availability of a Geoprobe for the <br /> next round and I will call you to schedule the fob <br /> Please let me know if you agree with the additional step-out borings I you <br /> approve them, I will USA the additional locations and schedule private <br /> utility locating Additionally, please let me know if I have to do any <br /> additional permitting through your office <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Ohomas Y Parker <br /> Staff Geologist <br /> SECOR International., Inc <br /> 1 <br />
