C� <br /> Quarterly Summary Report <br /> Third Quarter 2000 <br /> Tosco (Circle K) Store #1205 <br /> 16470 Cambridge Street <br /> Lathrop, California .� <br /> CITY Lathrop <br /> COUNTY San Joaquin <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site is an active Circle K Store located at 16420 Cambridge Street in Lathrop, California <br /> On November 10, 1997, three underground storage tanks (USTs), product dispensers, and <br /> associated product lines were removed from the site Approximately 1,241 tons of <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted soil were removed from beneath the former USTs and in the area of the <br /> new UST pit and transported to Forward Landfill in Stockton for disposal In addition, <br /> approximately 17,000 gallons of hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater was removed from the <br /> • new UST excavation and transported to a permitted facility for treatment Soil samples <br /> collected from beneath the former UST complex reported elevated concentrations of total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g), benzene, and MtBE On August 21, 1998 two <br /> groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 and MW-2) and one continuous soil boring were <br /> completed in an effort to delineate the lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil and <br /> groundwater On September 14, 1998 two additional monitoring wells (MW-3 and MW-4) <br /> were installed Based on groundwater gradient and analytical results, additional assessment is <br /> warranted IT will submit an assessment workplan on behalf of Tosco <br /> RECENT QUARTER ACTIVITIES <br /> • Submitted Quarterly Summary Report <br /> • Conducted Quarterly sampling event <br /> • Met with City of Lathrop regarding off-site well locations and encroachment permits <br /> ANTICIPATED NEXT QUARTER ACTIVITIES <br /> • Submit Quarterly Summary Report <br /> • Conduct Quarterly sampling event <br /> • Obtain access agreements and encroachment permits <br /> • • Conduct site assessment <br /> 9110052A/1gsr00 2 10/18/00 <br />
