1F t • • <br /> Quarterly Summary Report <br /> Fourth Quarter 1998 <br />�+ Circle K Service Station#1205 <br /> 16470 Cambridge Street <br /> Lathrop, California - <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site is an active Circle K Service Station located at 16420 Cambridge Street in Lathrop, <br /> California On November 10, 1997, three underground storage tanks (USTs), product <br /> dispensers, and associated product lines were removed from the site Approximately 1,241 tons <br /> of hydrocarbon-impacted soil was removed from beneath the USTs and in the area of the new <br /> UST pit and transported to Forward Landfill in Stockton for disposal In addition, <br /> approximately 17 000 gallons of hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater was removed from the <br /> new UST pit and transported to a permitted facility for treatment <br /> .Soil samples collected from beneath the former UST complex reported concentrations of total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g) ranging from 130 to 5,800 milligrams per i , <br /> kilogram (mg/kg) Benzene was reported in two of the six samples collected at concentrations <br /> of 0 52 and 3 6 mg/kg Methyl tertiary butyl ether(MtBE) was reported in two of the six , <br /> samples at concentrations of 0 19 and 3 6 mg/kg Total lead was not detected in any of the <br /> samples analyzed <br /> • Groundwater monitoring Wells MW-1 and MW-2 were installed on August 21, 1998 In <br /> addition, one continuous soil boring was advanced south of the new UST complex in an effort <br /> to delineate the lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil and groundwater <br /> RECENT QUARTER ACTIVITIES <br /> • The Fourth Quarter 1998 sampling event was performed <br /> • The Third Quarter 1998 Quarterly Sampling Report (QSR) was submitted <br /> • Approximately 12 cubic yards of hydrocarbon impacted soil was transported off-site to <br /> Forward Landfill inStockton, CA J <br /> • Submittal of a Groundwater investigation Report <br /> • The Offsite Research and Sensitive Receptor Survey Report was prepared <br /> a { <br /> 911-005 1 B/4Q98_QSR DOC 2 January 20, 1999 <br />
