INTRODUCTION <br /> 1.1 Scope of Work <br /> This report presents tete results of the subsurface investigation conducted by Sierra <br /> Environmental Sen•ices(SES)at Chevron Service Station:i;l-0302 located at 6421 Paddock Place <br /> in Lodi.California(Figure 1.Appendix Al. the objective of the SES investigation was to detemitne <br /> the presence or absence of hydrocarbons in soil and grortnd water beneath the site. The scope <br /> of work for the investigation was to•, <br /> 11 Prepare a site safety pian specific!(,this investigation. <br /> 21 Drill three soil borings and collect soil samples for subsurface sediment and <br /> hydrogeologic cdescriplion.and for possible chemical analysis. <br /> 11 Survey the soil samples in the field with an organic vapor meter (0VM) to <br /> determine if vnlatile hydrocarbons were present in the samples. <br /> 5) Analyyic selected soil samples at a Chevron-designated laboratory for total <br /> purgeable petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline [TPPH(G1) and diesel [TPH(D)). <br /> benzene. toluene. ethvlbeilzerte and xylenes(13TEX). and total lead (Pb). <br /> 6) Install three 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring wells. <br /> 7) Develop and sample the wells. Analyze all ground water samples for TPPH(G). <br /> TPH(D), 13TEX. and organic lead.
