INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> _ At the request of Mr Richard Bokides,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for 6421 Capitol Avenue (the site), Lodz, California The report documents <br /> procedures and results for ground water monitoring performed at the site between 26 and 28 <br /> September 2005 (third quarter) The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and <br /> monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> The objectives the of third quarter investigation was to characterize, assess and monitor dissolved <br /> methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations in ground water and to characterize ground water <br /> flow direction and gradient _ <br /> The enclosed report was prepared as required by California Regional Water Quality Control Board- <br /> Central Valley Region (RWQCB) Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-700, dated 01 March <br /> 2000,and was prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the RWQCB for investigation <br /> of underground storage tank (UST) sites Background information and a description of prior <br /> Investigations at the site were included in AGE's Closure Summary Report, dated 31 August 2005 <br /> (�1 <br /> 2.0. GROUND WATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING <br /> Between 26 and 28 September 2005, ground water monitoring and sampling were performed at <br /> 39 single-or multi-level groundwater monitoring wells(MW-1 through MW-20) Quarterly ground <br /> F water monitoring procedures for the site were previously outlined In the AGE-prepared Work Plan z - <br /> Addendum, dated 28 January 1998, and approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJCEHD) by letter dated 24 February 1995 As-built monitoring well construction <br /> details are summarized In Table 1 <br /> A coordinated effort was made with Three B's Truck Plaza (14749 Thornton Road, Lodi CA) to <br /> conduct ground water monitoring activities concurrently, the Three B's Truck Plaza ground water <br /> elevation results and analytical results are in Appendix A <br /> 21 WELL MONITORING AND PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> On 26 September 2005, the depth to ground water was measured at each monitoring well from the <br /> top of each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Sollnst water level meter The ground <br /> water elevation In each monitoring well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground <br /> water from the surveyed casing elevation (Table 2) Ground water elevations were plotted for the <br /> (•) <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
