Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2005 �.? FLAG CITY CHEVRON 6421 Capitol Avenue, Lodi, California 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK _ At the request of Mr Richard Bokides,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for 6421 Capitol Avenue (the site), Lodz, California The report documents procedures and results for ground water monitoring performed at the site between 26 and 28 September 2005 (third quarter) The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 The objectives the of third quarter investigation was to characterize, assess and monitor dissolved methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations in ground water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient _ The enclosed report was prepared as required by California Regional Water Quality Control Board- Central Valley Region (RWQCB) Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-700, dated 01 March 2000,and was prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the RWQCB for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites Background information and a description of prior Investigations at the site were included in AGE's Closure Summary Report, dated 31 August 2005 (�1 2.0. GROUND WATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING Between 26 and 28 September 2005, ground water monitoring and sampling were performed at 39 single-or multi-level groundwater monitoring wells(MW-1 through MW-20) Quarterly ground F water monitoring procedures for the site were previously outlined In the AGE-prepared Work Plan z - Addendum, dated 28 January 1998, and approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) by letter dated 24 February 1995 As-built monitoring well construction details are summarized In Table 1 A coordinated effort was made with Three B's Truck Plaza (14749 Thornton Road, Lodi CA) to conduct ground water monitoring activities concurrently, the Three B's Truck Plaza ground water elevation results and analytical results are in Appendix A 21 WELL MONITORING AND PURGE PROCEDURES On 26 September 2005, the depth to ground water was measured at each monitoring well from the top of each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Sollnst water level meter The ground water elevation In each monitoring well was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevation (Table 2) Ground water elevations were plotted for the (•) Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
