INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> C <br />' At the request of Mr Richard Boludes,Advanced GeoEnvuanmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> Quarterly Report for 6421 Capitol Avenue (the site), Lodi, California The report documents <br /> procedures and results for subsurface investigations conducted at the site during July, August and <br /> September 2000 (third quarter of the year 2000) The enclosed quarterly report was prepared as <br /> required by Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) Cleanup and <br /> Abatement Order No 5-00-700, dated 01 March 2000 The site setting Is illustrated on Figure i Site <br /> tstructures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> I <br /> The'objectives of third quarter investigations were to characterize, assess and monitor dissolved <br />' petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tert butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations in ground water, to <br /> characterize ground water flow direction and gradient at the site and to assess the hydrogeological <br /> characteristics of the site to design a site remediation system This report is prepared in accordance <br />' with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health,Services - Environmental <br /> Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites Background information <br /> and a description of prior investigations at the site was included in AGE's Problem Assessment <br /> Report, dated 19 June 2000 <br /> The following is a brief summary of third quarter site assessment activities performed at the site <br /> _ ` • 01 July through 30,September 2000 - Continued Interim Remediation at EW-1, , <br /> • 17 July 2000 - Installation of ground watcr extraction wells (EW-2 and EW-3), , <br /> • 20 July 2000 -First Zone aquifer pump test, <br /> •' 21 July 2000 - Second Zone aquifer pump test, ' <br /> 1 24 July 2000 - First Zone aquifer pump test, <br /> • 30 August 2000 - Quarterly ground water monitoring and sampling event <br /> I <br /> J <br /> ' 2.0. CONTINUED INTERIM REMEDIATION AT EW-1 e <br /> I ,s <br /> On'02 April 2000,Clark Well,Inc of Stockton, California installed a 4-inch diameter,'/3-horsepower <br />' <br /> stainless-steel Gnmdfos (Model 5S) submersible pump in well EW-1 The Grundfos pump is <br /> currently positioned at a depth of approximately 29 feet below surface grade(bsg) The pump utilizes <br /> .
