31 August 2000
AGE Project No 96-0232
' submersible Grundfos Redi-flo pump and was terminated after 120 minutes of ground water
extraction because the 5,900-gallon Baker tank was at full capacity The pump test utilized pressure
transducers that were deployed in wells MW-1,EW-1,EW-2 and EW-3 A plot of draw-down versus
I time for the first stage pump test and data logs are included in Appendix B, a plot of draw-down
versus time for the second stage pump test and data logs are included in Appendix C, a plot of draw-
down versus time for the third stage pump test and data logs are included in Appendix D
Draw-dawn versus distance for wells MW-1, EW-1 and EW-2 were graphed on semi-logarithmic
paper for pump test stages 1, 2 and 3, utilizing the Time-Drawdown Method (Jacob straight-line
I method), the transmissivity and storativity for aquifer pump test stages 1, 2 and 3 were determined
(Appendix E) Calculations for pump test stages 1, 2, and 3 are summanzed in Table 6 Ground
water levels in wells EW-3,MW-6A and MW-9A did not appear to be influenced during the pump
' tests
During the first stage pump test(4 0 GPM),the greatest ground water drawn-down in extraction well
' EW-2 was observed at 5 25 feet after 50 minutes of pumping operation, draw-down was observed
in wells EW-1 (located 11 feet towards the north-northwest)at 0 92 feet and in MW-1 (located 7 feet
towards the north) at 0 90 feet Minor decreases in ground water levels in well EW-3 (located 4 feet
lie towards the west and screened 40 to 50 feet bsg)were observed at as much as 0 07 feet, in MW-6A
(located 73 feet towards the south) at as much as 0 03 feet and in MW-9A (located 45 feet towards
the west-southwest) at as much as 0 02 feet Results of the stage 1 pump test ground water draw-
down levels are summarized in Table 2 Utilizing data collected from well EW-1,EW-2 and MW-1,
a transmissivity value was calculated at 774 gal/day-ft, a specific yield value is calculated at 0 034
I and a radius of influence is projected at 17 feet utilizing a semi-loganthmic plot of draw-down
versus distance (Appendix E)
' During the second stage pump test(6 6 GPM), the greatest ground water drawn-down was observed
in extraction well EW-2 at 8 26 feet after 600 minutes of pumping operation, draw-down was
observed in wells EW-1 at 1 85 feet and in MW-1 at 1 98 feet Minor decreases in ground water,
' levels from well EW-3 were observed at as much as 0 14 feet, in MW-6A at as much as 0 03 feet
and in MW-9A at as much as 0 05 feet Results of the stage 2 pump test ground water draw-down
levels are summarized in Table 3 Utilizing data collected from well EW-1, EW-2 and MW-1, a
' transmissivity value was calculated at 718 gal/day-ft, a specific yield value is calculated at 0 21 and
a radius of influence is projected at 20Y2 feet utilizing a semi-logarithmic plot of draw-down versus
distance(Appendix E)
' Dunn the third stage um test(10 0 GPM), the greatest ground water drawn-down was observed
During g pump
in extraction well EW-2 at 12 06 feet after 50 minutes of pumping operation, draw-down was
' observed in wells EW-1 at 2 81 feet and in MW-1 at 3 08 feet Minor decreases in ground water
levels in well EW-3 were observed at as much as 0 11 feet, in MW-6A at as much as 0 12 feet and
I in MW-9A at as much as 0 05 feet Results of the stage 3 pump test ground water draw-down levels
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
I
