' 31 August 2000 <br /> AGE Project No 96-0232 <br />' Page 21 of 25 <br />' control (QA/QC)reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in quarterly <br /> reports <br />' In accordance with NPDES requirement for permitting for low threat discharges to surface waters, <br /> effluent monitoring will include analysis for biological oxygen demand(BOD), suspended solids and <br /> settleable solids on a quarterly basis, temperature and pH on a monthly basis, and ground water flow <br />' monitoring on a continuous basis At the point of discharge an the conveyance ditch(Figure 11), one <br /> upgradient and one downgradient receiving water monitoring stations shall be monitored daily for <br /> the presence or absence of suspended matter, discoloration, bottom deposits, aquatic life, sheen, <br />' visible film, fungi and any potential nuisance conditions <br /> Ground water treatment operational parameters will be monitored at a minimum of weekly to <br />' monitor cleanup progress The ground water treatment system will be maintained on a weekly basis <br /> according to manufacturers recommendations <br />' As per Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-700, quarterly ground water momtonng and <br /> sampling will be performed on all Flag City Chevron wells throughout the remediation period to <br />'• monitor remedial progress <br />' 5 9 PROGRESS AND CONFIRMATION SAMPLING <br /> After no more than twelve months of operation or when efficiency of the pump and treat system has <br />' significantly declined, soil and grab ground water samples will be collected from the targeted <br /> remediation area Analytical results of the samples will serve to assess remaining petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon levels and to determine of continuing remedial operation is necessary <br />' Soil and grab ground water samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health <br /> Services (DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents , <br />' TPH-g in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modafied/5030, <br /> • BTEX and MTBE in accordance with EPA Method 8020, and <br /> • Fuel oxygenates, including MTBE, tertiary-butyl alcohol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether(DIPE), <br /> ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE) and tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME) by EPA Method <br />' 8260 <br />' Laboratory reports for soil analysis, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control <br /> .
