INSTALLATION OF GROUND WATER EXTRACTION WELLS <br /> On 09, 10, 11, 12, 16 and 17 October 2000, ground water extraction wells EW-4, EW-5, EW-6, <br /> EW-7, EW-8, EW-9 and EW-10 were Installed at the site to Implement the final ground water <br /> remediation plan for the core petroleum hydrocarbon-Impacted area at the site, ground water <br /> extraction well Installation procedures for the site were outlined in Final Rernediazon Plan, dated <br /> 31 August 2000, prepared by AGE and approved by the RWQCB by letter dated 05 October 2000 <br /> 3 1 EXTRACTION WELL INSTALLATION PROCEDURES <br />' Seven soil bonngs/ground water extraction wells (EW-4, EW-5, EW-6, EW-7, EW-8, EW-9 and <br /> EW-10) were advanced at the site to supplement ground water remediation Sall borings EW-4, <br /> EW-5,EW-6, EW-7, EW-8 were advanced vertically to a depth of 35 feet below surface grade (bsg) <br />' utilizing a CME-85 high-torque,truck-mounted drill ng equipped with 12-inch diameter hollow stem <br /> augers, soil borings EW-9 and EW-10 were advanced to 35 feet bsg utilizing a B-55 limited access <br /> ng equipped with 12-Inch diameter hollow stem augers Soil cuttings were stockpiled on and covered <br />' by plastic sheeting in the northeast portion of the site in an area lacking public access The soil <br /> boring locations are depicted In Figure 2 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Iric <br /> I <br />
