' 2 4 INFLUENT MONITORING RESULTS
In accordance with the requirements of RWQCB Monitoring and Reporting Program No 5-00-119,
' monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent sampling was performed for TPH-g,TPH-d,BTEX,
MTBE,methanol,ethanol,DIPE,TAME,ETBE,TBA, 1,2-DCA and EDB on 29 July,on 27 August
and on 05 September 2002
1 Influent water samples collected on the above dates detected MTBE (by EPA Method 8260) at
concentrations of 17 µg11, 9 7 µg/l and 9 1 pg/l,respectively(Table 1) The laboratory analysis did
' not detect any other constituents of concern Analytical results of pump-and-treat influent-water
samples are summarized in Table 1, laboratory reports are in Appendix B
25 EFFLUENT MONITORING RESULTS
' In accordance with the requirements ofRWQCB Monitoring and Reporting Program No 5-00-119,
monthly ground water pump-and-treat effluent monitoring was performed for flow rate, specific
conductivity(EC),pH,temperature,total dissolved solids(TDS),total lead,TPH-g,TPH-d,BTEX,
10 MTBE, methanol, ethanol, DIPE, TAME, ETBE, TBA, 1,2-DCA, EDB and nitrate on 29 July, on
27August and on 05 September 2002, a bioassay analysis was performed on 05 September 2002
Laboratory analysis of pump-and-treat effluent grab water samples collected on 29 July, on 27
August and on 05 September 2002 did not detect any petroleum constituents of concern, nitrate as
' NO3 was detected at concentrations of 50 milligrams per liter (mg/l), 42 mg/1 and 43 mg/l,
respectively,TDS values were reported at 536 mg/l, 845 mg/l and 402 mg/l,respectively Analytical
results are summarized in Tables 1 and 2, laboratory reports are in Appendices B and C
IA bioassay laboratory analysis was performed on the grab sample collected from the effluent stream
on 05 September 2002 The analysis utilized sample factors of 0 milliliter (ml), 125 ml, 500 ral,
' 1,000 ml, 1,500 ml and 2,000 ml Each sample factor was tested with 20 Fathead minnow fish and
a dilution volume of 2,000 ml of di-ionized water, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO) and temperature
parameters were monitored and fish mortalities were counted over 96 hours The results of the
' bioassay analysis did not indicate any trends for pH, DO or temperature over the 96 hour period
Temperature measurements generally varied between 19 6 and 20 8 degrees Celsius (°C), pH
measurements varied between 7 30 and 7 60 and DO measurements varied between 7 30 mg/l and
8 90 mg/l The laboratory reported that there was one fish mortalities after 96 hours in the above
referenced sample, laboratory analysis of a duplicate effluent sample reported zero fish mortalities
after 96 hours The bioassay analysis is summarized in Table 3, laboratory reports are in
Appendix C
