INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br />' At the request of Mr Richard Bokides,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for 6421 Capitol Avenue (the site), Lodi, California The report documents <br /> procedures and results for ground water monitoring and remediation performed at the site between <br />' March and June 2003 (second quarter) The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and <br /> monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> I The enclosed report was prepared as required by California Regional Water Quality Control Board- <br /> Central Valley Region (RWQCB) Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-700, dated 01 March <br /> 2000,and was prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the RWQCB for investigation <br /> of underground storage tank (UST) sites Background information and a description of prior <br /> investigations at the site were included in AGE's Final Remedtatzon Plan, dated 31 August 2000 <br /> The objectives the of second quarter investigations were to characterize, assess and monitor <br /> dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations in ground <br /> water,to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient and to continue ground water pump- <br /> and-treat remediation at the site The following is a brief summary of second quarter site assessment <br /> and remediation activities performed at the site <br /> 5 June 2 <br /> Between 25 March and 2 <br /> a 003-Continued pump-and-treat rernedlatron utilizing on- <br /> site extraction wells EW-4, EW-5, EW-7, EW-8, discharged a total of approximately <br /> 2,090,669 gallons of treated Flag City Chevron ground water into a conveyance ditch located <br /> approximately 450 feet south of the site <br /> ® 21 April,14 May and 25 June 2003 -Monthly monitoring events at the ground water pump- <br /> and-treat remediation system, extraction wells EW-4, EW-5, EW-7 and EW-8 were in <br /> operation <br /> • 25, 26 &27 June 2003 - Quarterly ground water monitoring event (second quarter 2003) at <br /> wells MW-1 through MW-18, EW-1 through EW-10, CSA-1 and CSA-2 <br />' 2.0 GROUND WATER PUMP AND TREAT REMEDIATION SYSTEM <br /> Between 25 March 2003 and 25 June 2003 (second quarter 2003), a ground water pump-and-treat <br /> remediation system was in continuous operation at the site Groundwater pump-and-treat operation <br /> and maintenance procedures for the site were outlined in AGE's Final Remediation Plan, dated <br /> 31 August 2000 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
