INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br />' At the request of Mr Richard Bokides,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for 6421 Capitol Avenue (the site), Lodi, California The report documents <br /> procedures and results for ground water monitoring and remediation activities conducted at the site <br />' during April,May and June 2001 (second quarter 2 00 1) The enclosed quarterly report was prepared <br /> as required by California Regional Water Quality Control Board- Central Valley Region(RWQCB) <br /> Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-700, dated 01 March 2000 The site setting is illustrated on <br />' Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> The objectives of second quarter investigations were to characterize, assess and monitor dissolved <br />' petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tert butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations in ground water, to <br /> characterize ground water flow direction and gradient and to continue ground water remediation at <br /> the site This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board(CRWQCB)-Central Valley Division for investigation of underground <br /> storage tank(UST) sites Background information and a description of prior investigations at the site <br /> were included in AGE's Final Remediation Plan, dated 05 October 2000 <br /> The following is a brief summary of second quarter 2001 site assessment and remediation activities <br /> performed at the site <br /> Y 01 April through 30 June 2001 - Continued "pump and treat" remediation utilizing wells <br /> IEW-2, EW-4, EW-5, EW-6, EW-7, EW-S, EW-9 and EW-10, <br /> • 01 April through 30 June 2001 -Discharge approximately 2,395,645 gallons of extracted and <br />' treated water into CoIdani Ditch <br /> • 09 April 2001 - Monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent, effluent and receiving water <br /> monitoring event <br /> • 03 May 2001 - Monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent, effluent and receiving water <br /> monitoring event <br /> 0 04 June 2001 -Monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent, effluent and receiving water <br /> monitoring event <br /> • 13 and 14 June 2001 - Second Quarter 2001 ground water monitoring event <br /> 2.0 GROUND WATER PUMP AND TREAT REMEDIATION SYSTEM <br /> Between 01 April and 30 June 2001, a ground water pump-and-treat system was continuously <br /> Advanced CcoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
