Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2001 ' FLAG CITY CHEVRON 6421 Capitol Avenue, Lodi, California I1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK ' At the request of Mr Richard Bokides,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for 6421 Capitol Avenue (the site), Lodi, California The report documents procedures and results for remediation and subsurface investigations conducted at the site during ' January, February and March 2001 (first quarter 2001) The enclosed quarterly report was prepared as required by California Regional Water Quality Control Board- Central Valley Region (RWQCB) Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-700, dated 01 March 2000 The site setting is illustrated on ' Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 ' The objectives of first quarter investigations were to characterize, assess and monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tert butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations in ground water, to charactenze ground water flow direction and gradient and to continue ground water remediation at ' the site This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board(CRWQCB)-Central Valley Division for investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites Background information and a description of prior investigations at the site lie were included in AGE's Final Remediation Plan, dated 05 October 2000 The following is a brief summary of first quarter 2001 site assessment and remediation activities performed at the site C 01 January through 31 March 2001 - Continued"pump and treat"remediation utilizing wells EW-2, EW-4, EW-5, EW-6, EW-7, EW-8, EW--9 and EW-10, • 01 January through 31 March 2001 -Discharge approximately 2,474,726-gallons of extracted Iand treated water into Coldani Ditch • 08 and 09 March 2001 - First Quarter 2001 ground water momtonng event • 14 March 2001 - Expose well MW-10 which was paved over during street construction activities,perform ground water monitoring and sampling at MW-1 OA,MW-IOB,MW-1 OC, MW-IOD and MW-IOE r 2.0 GROUND WATER PUMP AND TREAT REMEDIATION SYSTEM Between 01 January and 31 March 2001, a ground water pump and treat system was continuously I operated at the site, ground water pump and treat operation and maintenance procedures for the site were outlined m Final Remediaion Plan, dated 31 August 2000,prepared by AGE and approved by the RWQCB by letter dated 05 October 2000 Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc.
