• Work Plan Addendum <br /> FLAG CITY CHEVRON <br /> 6421 Capitol Avenue, Lodi, California <br /> 1.4. INTRODUCTION <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this work plan addendum for installation of <br /> five ground water morutonng/extraction wells and installation of one ozone sparge well at 14659 <br /> North Thornton Road, Lodi, California (Rocky's Restaurant) because additional ground water <br /> monitoring wells were required west of Flag City Chevron monitoring well MW-7 to determine the <br /> western extent of methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE)-impacted ground water <br /> AGE is also proposing at this time to advance two Geoprobe soil borings in north-northeast sections <br /> of the Flag City Chevron site and one Geoprobe soil boring in a south section of the McDonalds <br /> Restaurant property located at 6440 West Banner, Lodi, California During the March 2002 ground <br /> water monitoring event, significant concentrations of dissolved MTBE were detected from Second <br /> Zone well MW-SA(screened 40 to 50 feet bsg) and reconfirmed in April 2002, it is not clear at thus <br /> time why substantial MTBE is present in MW-8A after nine consecutive quarters of being non- <br /> detect Therefore, AGE is proposing at this time to advance three soil borings for collection of soil <br /> and ground water samples to further assess the MTBE-impacted ground water detected at MW-8A <br /> Following well installations, AGE will perform feasibility studies at Rocky's Restaurant for ground <br /> water corrective action including performance of a 24-hour Second Zone (40 to 60 feet bsg) aquifer <br /> pumping test, performance of a 24-hour Upper Rocky's Zone (65 to 75 feet bsg) aquifer pumping <br /> test and performance of a 4-week in-situ ozone sparge (IOS) pilot test The Iocation of the site is <br /> illustrated on Figure 1 A plan of the Rocky's Restaurant site is illustrated on Figure 2 A plan of the <br /> Flag City Chevron site is illustrated on Figure 3 <br /> The proposed scope of work is in accordance with a directive letter from the California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), dated 28 February 2002 As part of the off-site Final <br /> Remediation Plan(FRP) for the Flag City Chevron site, performance of the above referenced pilot <br /> tests are necessary to evaluate potential remediation options for ground water at the site Upon <br /> completion of the feasibility studies and monitoring well installations, a revised Remedial Action <br /> Plan (RAP) will be prepared <br /> This work plan is prepared in accordance with California Regional Water Quality Control Board - <br /> Central Valley Region (RWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks <br /> (UST) sites <br /> 2 0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Based on soil and ground water data collected during the investigation of petroleum-hydrocarbon <br /> impact at the Flag City Chevron site,AGE has developed a prelunmary subsurface model of the site <br /> Advanced GeoEnvirenmental,Inc <br />
